CJ LIM Smart-cities

A very modern assumption of our culture states that faster is always better. The rapidly expanding middle class in Asia is enjoying many of the pleasures of a consumer society, but is increasingly becoming affected by the expectations and pressures of this modern life. 'Smart-city' is a new blueprint for an urban typology that goes beyond the definition of eco-city. A smart city integrates environmental, and most importantly, social sustainability into the heart of the city, for its long-term future. CJ Lim's lecture about smart-cities was held at the AA on 7.10.2008. #
