Private Jokes Public Places and Strategies of Newspaper Delivery

AAIR speaks with Oren Safdie, author of the play 'Private Jokes Public Places' which is premiering in London on November 7. The play is based around a graduate architecture student defending her project in front of an all-male and all-famous jury. 'A provocative and hilarious glimpse into the world of contemporary architecture' and indeed of contemporary architectural education. We interviewed Oren and are pleased to share with you his stories on the background of the play and his childhood growing up in Habitat '67, designed and built by his father, Moshe Safdie. Soundtrap I - Daniel Figgis DOPPLER

Interview and introduction to Daniel Figgis' DOPPLER, an acoustic re-imagining of the architecture of Beaconsfield, London's most innovative project space for contemporary art. The first in a new series of sonic commissions Soundtrap the DOPPLER sound installation is derived directly from a series of ambient sound recordings made within the three discrete galleries.
