The obscure Euch Geht's Ja Noch Viel Zu Gut cassette originally released in 1979 by Berlin-based new wave duo THORAX-WACH. Six instrumental and six vocal tracks about eating children, old people, the body, and German serial killers, played with two Korg MS20 synths and a borrowed guitar, in a style not unlike the minimal electronics of Der Plan and some of the Zick Zack bands of the same time. Abwärts' erster Auftritt fand am 29.12.79 auf dem "Geräusche für die 80er"- Festival in der Hamburger Markthalle statt. Those, who do not remember the past,are condemned to repeat it. Cabin in the Sky

Tuxedomoon was formed in San Francisco in 1977 by two electronic music students at San Francisco City College, Blaine L. Reininger (keyboards, violin) and Steven Brown (keyboards, other instruments) and are soon joined by Peter Principle and Winston Tong Tuxedomoon signed to the Residents' Ralph Records in 1979. Toured Europe in the early 80s, relocating permanently to Rotterdam in 1981. "Futuristic and romantic, lyrical and visionary, electronic and acoustic, with its drum machines, saxophones, wailing violins and haunted vocals, their ability to cristallize a certain dark and romantic zeitgeist quickly make them one of the most influential bands of the decade." #

NURSE WITH WOUND - 01: COLD 02: COLDER STILL A loose experimental music project formed in 1978 by Steven Stapleton. Nurse With Wound's first three albums were (Chance Meeting on a Dissecting Table of a Sewing Machine and an Umbrella, To the Quiet Man From a Tiny Girl, and Merzbild Schwet). Noise and abrasive rhythms came into the work of Nurse With Wound in the later 80s although their direction shifted more toward electronica especially with the 1988 album 'Soliloquy for Lilith'. #
