Gilles Clement: From the Garden in Motion to the Third Landscape
"It is probably too difficult to explain exactly what is the 'Jardin Planetaire', Planetary Garden or Global Garden..., but you can consider that you belong to, you are the citizens of the planet and you are probably, even if you don't know, the gardeners of this planet because every thing you do has a consequence on the environment. For me, what is important in my job is not the design, it is not the functional part of the public space, or the formal system, but probably the LIFE. I mean, the thing which is most precious and unpredictable." AAIR is pleased to broadcast the lecture given by Gilles Clement at the AA on February 20, 2007. Gilles Clement studied in France and Algeria, and has worked for many years as a landscape architect, plantsman and teacher. #
