AAIRmail Postcard 1: Radio Anacapri
Documentary field recordings were made on the island of Capri, Italy between July 18–25, 2006 as a collaborative project between Diego Cortez of lostobject.org and the AA Independent Radio. An extensive collection of concrete audio feeds from sectors of nature, machine, and man, these recordings document the life of Capri today. Small microphones worn in the ears captured sounds distinctly in space and in time, depending on physical surroundings and the location and the nature of each source. The resulting listening experience is how we perceive sounds in space every day: as a composition.
